According to a study released by Statistics Canada, chemical engineering graduates rank 2nd among professionals who earned the highest salaries in 2010 in Canada. In fact, 25-to-54 year-old men earned an annual income of $120,148 on average that year.
Graduates in management sciences and quantitative methods topped the salary scale for bachelor’s degree holders in 2010. Earnings varied considerably across specific fields of study within broad disciplinary categories.
Using data from the 2011 National Household Survey, the study examined 25-to-54-year-old men and women whose highest level of postsecondary study was completed in Canada. Only college certificate, bachelor's degree and master's degree holders were examined.
