Student Award of Merit

The winner of the third Student Award of Merit, Jérémy Brouillard, studies automated manufacturing engineering at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS).

Since beginning his studies, Jérémy Brouillard has discovered a true passion for rugby, a sport he only started playing in 2012. Thanks to his great determination, he quickly improved and did more than just earn a spot on the ETS rugby team; he was elected its president in 2013. He then recruited players and coaches, found funding, organized meetings…His efforts yielded results, since his team was accepted into the university championships and made it to the semifinals!

Jérémy Brouillard strives to share his enthusiasm for the sport outside of the academic world. For instance, in partnership with the Rugby Club of Montreal, he participated in a community activity to introduce rugby in physical education courses to secondary-school-age teenagers from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Jérémy Brouillard maintains a very good grade point average (3.97 out of 4.3). He won the First Award of Excellence from the ETS Board of Governors for the final project report of the class of 2014-2015 of the Automated Manufacturing Engineering Department.
