From January 3 to 7, OIQ President Kathy Baig, Eng., and an OIQ team attended the 2018 Engineering Games at Université Laval that were organized by the Québec Confederation for Engineering Student Outreach (QCESO).

For this interuniversity competition, some 400 students from faculties of engineering across the province came together in the spirit of true camaraderie.
This year, in addition to the traditional design competitions and games focused on academic knowledge, the delegations also squared off in sports and cultural events.

On a side note, Québec's first Engineering Games were held in 1990 at Université Laval. Since its inception, the event has become quite popular in Québec’s student community. Québec’s most talented, motivated and involved engineering students meet there every year. Will you participate in them next year?
